A looter who was robbing apartments following the Russian attack was detained in Kyiv
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who was looting damaged apartments belonging to residents of the Podilsky district following Russian shelling.
This was reported by the Kyiv Police.
According to law enforcement, residential buildings in Khoriva Lane were damaged as a result of the Russian attack that night—the blast wave shattered windows and doors in the apartments.
While residents were in shelters, the perpetrator broke into the damaged apartments and stole the owners’ personal belongings.
One of the victims contacted the police to report the theft. Law enforcement officers quickly located the suspect and detained him directly in one of the apartments while he was attempting to commit another theft.
The detainee was a 29-year-old man who had previously been wanted for a property crime in another region.
