43,000 sole proprietors received financial assistance from the government
Under the state energy support program for individual entrepreneurs, 43,000 entrepreneurs received assistance. The total amount of payments was 438 million hryvnias, according to relevant agencies.
It is noted that businesses allocated more than half of the funds to purchasing fuel for generators, which allowed enterprises to continue operating during power outages.
The program was launched in late January, when Ukraine was experiencing widespread power outages, and was designed to support small businesses during the energy crisis.
Business owners received between 7,500 and 15,000 UAH to cover the costs of fuel, generator repairs, and autonomous power supply.
This support enabled many small shops, restaurants, pharmacies, manufacturing facilities, and service companies to avoid shutting down, preserve jobs, and ensure uninterrupted customer service.
The program ended on May 31 and is estimated to have been an effective anti-crisis tool for supporting small businesses during the energy crisis.
In June, accountants, HR professionals, and entrepreneurs face a series of important changes and reporting deadlines. In June 2026, Ukrainians can expect a series of important legislative changes, reporting campaigns, and innovations for businesses, employers, and citizens.
Ukrainian entrepreneurs who purchased domestically produced industrial machinery and equipment in March 2026 will receive state compensation totaling 15.6 million UAH.
