The Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children has expanded to include 50 countries
Bosnia and Herzegovina has officially confirmed its intention to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, bringing the total number of participating countries to 50. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced this decision.
The Ukrainian minister expressed his personal gratitude to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković for their support.
According to Sibiga, this step demonstrates the Balkan state’s clear commitment to protecting children’s rights, upholding international law, and joining efforts to return every forcibly deported Ukrainian to their homeland. The minister emphasized that the involvement of new partners significantly strengthens the international community’s capacity for decisive action and helps to more effectively work toward holding accountable all those responsible for the illegal deportation, forced adoption, and the militarization of Ukrainian children in the Russian Federation or in the temporarily occupied territories.
Sybiga announced this in a Telegram post.
Ukraine has already managed to return 2,126 children abducted by the Russian Federation as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
