The SBU is investigating a car explosion in Odesa as a terrorist attack
The Security Service of Ukraine has classified the car explosion in Odesa, which injured two people, as a terrorist act.
This was reported by the SBU and the Odesa Regional Police.
The incident occurred on the evening of May 23 in the Primorsky district of the city on Universitetskaya Street. According to law enforcement officials, a Volkswagen car exploded with two people inside.
The victims were provided with necessary medical assistance.
The SBU has opened a criminal investigation under the article on terrorist acts. Currently, special service officers, together with the police, are establishing all the circumstances of the explosion and identifying individuals who may be involved in the incident.
Earlier, Security Service of Ukraine officers neutralized a Russian agent who was preparing to blow up an administrative building of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Zhytomyr.
