The Hungarian Foreign Minister has responded to Russia's attack on Kyiv
Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people following the massive Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 24.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry published her statement on the X platform.
Orbán called the Russian strike on the Ukrainian capital a brutal attack and emphasized that attacks on civilian infrastructure are unacceptable.
“Russia’s brutal nighttime attack on Kyiv is yet another horrific reminder of the human toll of this war. The civilian population should never have to wake up to the sounds of missiles, drones, and explosions, fearing for their lives. Destroyed homes, shattered families, innocent people killed and wounded—this is unacceptable,” Orban wrote.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry also stated that Budapest strongly condemns Russia’s strikes on Ukraine and stands in solidarity with those affected by the attacks.
“Hungary expresses its solidarity with the victims of the attacks and the people of Ukraine,” the minister emphasized.
Valeriy Zaluzhny, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom and former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reacted to the massive Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of May 24 and called on the international community to respond firmly to Russia’s actions.
Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, reacted sharply to Russia’s use of the “Oreshnik” missile during the attack on Ukraine. She called the Kremlin’s actions a reckless risk of nuclear war and announced preparations for new measures to pressure Moscow.
