The minister strongly condemned Russia’s latest strike on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure and emphasized that the attack had endangered the life of the Albanian diplomat.

“This is unacceptable! Targeting civilian areas and diplomatic personnel or creating a threat to them is a serious escalation and yet another stark reminder of the human casualties caused by Russia’s ongoing aggression,” the minister emphasized.

The head of the Albanian Foreign Ministry also called on Russia to cease attacks on civilian targets and end the war against Ukraine.

“Albania will continue to stand firmly on Ukraine’s side and reaffirms its unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. Those responsible for these attacks must be held accountable,” Hoxha stated.

Following the incident, the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially summoned the Russian ambassador in Tirana to provide explanations regarding the attack on Kyiv.
