An oil pumping station in Vtorovo, in the Vladimir Oblast of the Russian Federation, has been hit
The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a strike on a fuel and energy infrastructure facility deep within Russian territory, resulting in the destruction of the Vtorovo intermediate oil product pumping station in the Vladimir region.
This was reported by local media.
According to available information, explosions were recorded on the facility’s grounds, followed by a large-scale fire.
Russian emergency services and Transneft fire units have been deployed to address the aftermath.
The Vtorovo station is part of the Transneft system and serves as a key hub for the transportation of petroleum products in central Russia.
In particular, it ensures the transfer of diesel fuel and gasoline via main pipelines and the operation of logistics routes for fuel supply to central regions of Russia.
According to sources, damage to or shutdown of the station could disrupt fuel supply logistics, which could affect both the civilian sector and the Russian Federation’s military logistics.
An assessment of the extent of the damage and the timeline for resuming operations is currently underway
