European Council President António Costa condemned Russia’s latest large-scale attack on Ukraine and stated that it demonstrates Moscow’s unwillingness to engage in genuine peace talks.
He announced this on X.
According to Costa, the nighttime missile attack, including the use of “Oreshnik” missiles, was yet another act of brutality against Ukraine’s civilian population and infrastructure.
He emphasized that such an escalation is further proof that Russia is not interested in a constructive peace process.
The President of the European Council also assured that the European Union will continue to support Ukraine.
