Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney condemned Russia's massive attack on Kyiv
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney strongly condemned Russia’s large-scale missile and drone strikes on civilian targets in Kyiv, carried out during the latest wave of attacks.
He posted his statement on social media.
Carney emphasized that for more than four years since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has continued its systematic attacks against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
“For more than four years since Russia’s illegal invasion, it has significantly underestimated the courage, determination, and strength of the Ukrainian people—even as Putin’s regime has ruthlessly bombed Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and residential buildings,” he noted.

He emphasized that such attacks only exacerbate the suffering of the civilian population and do not affect the ultimate outcome of the war.
“They only prolong human suffering and do nothing to change the fact that Russia is losing this war,” Carney stated.
The Canadian prime minister also assured that Ottawa would continue to work with international partners to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine and Europe.
