The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food Suspends Acceptance of Applications for Greenhouse Grants
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is suspending the acceptance of grant applications from fruit growers, grape growers, and other producers until the end of 2026. New applications are expected to be accepted as early as the first quarter of 2027.
This was announced by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine
“Starting October 16, 2026, the acceptance of grant applications for the establishment or development of orchards, berry farms, vineyards, and greenhouse operations will be temporarily suspended. The acceptance of applications is scheduled to resume in the first quarter of 2027,” the statement reads.
Agricultural producers planning to apply for grant support in 2026 may submit their applications through October 15. Those who are unable to do so by that date will be able to submit their applications once the program resumes.
The relevant funding is provided for in next year’s state budget, the ministry noted.
The ministry reports that 61 grants totaling 300 million hryvnias were approved this year.
Specifically, 40 orders totaling 170 million hryvnias were signed to support the establishment and development of horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture, as well as 21 orders totaling 130 million hryvnias to support the development of greenhouse farming.
Currently, 34 grants for horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture totaling 137 million hryvnias and 19 grants for greenhouse farming totaling 123 million hryvnias have been fully funded, the statement said.
The supported projects include 428.4 hectares of new plantings and 31.5 hectares of modular greenhouses. The implementation of these projects is also expected to create 282 permanent and 5,518 seasonal jobs.
