Russia is under attack today: 21 drones have already been shot down over Moscow
On Russia Day, the Moscow region came under a massive drone attack. According to Russian authorities, air defense forces have already shot down at least 21 drones heading toward Moscow.
The mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sobyanin, stated that air defense forces had repelled another drone attack, and emergency services are working at the crash sites.
Due to the threat of attacks, Moscow airports periodically imposed restrictions on flight arrivals and departures.
On the night of June 10, drones attacked the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in Russia’s Samara region. Following the strikes, a massive fire broke out at the facility, which, according to local residents, was visible from various parts of the city.
A fuel shortage is expected across Russia through August.
