The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) estimated Russia's missile stockpile at hundreds of units and revealed the pace of their production

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia has more than 600 “Onyx” missiles, more than 450 “Kalibr” missiles, and more than 120 “Zircon” missiles, as well as about 130 missiles for the “Iskander-M.” At the same time, the Russian defense-industrial complex is capable of producing over 200 cruise and ballistic missiles per month.

Russia has accumulated significant stockpiles of various types of missiles, and its military-industrial complex continues to ramp up production. Overall, Russia is capable of manufacturing more than 200 cruise and ballistic missiles each month.

This is stated in an article by “Ukrainska Pravda,” based on a response from the Main Intelligence Directorate to the publication’s inquiry.

According to the GUR, as of August 5, the Russian military group had about 130 9M723 ballistic missiles for the “Iskander-M” systems. In addition, the estimated stockpile of RM-48U missiles for the S-400 is approximately 400 units.

Russia also has more than 600 “Onyx” missiles, more than 450 “Kalibr” missiles, more than 120 “Zircon” missiles, and up to 100 X-101 missiles.

As of July, Russia also had about 50 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles and roughly the same number of North Korean ballistic missiles—the KN-23, KN-24, and KN-30.

The Main Intelligence Directorate notes that the Russian defense industry’s primary focus is shifting toward the mass production of missile systems. The “Iskander-M,” X-101, and “Kalibr” missiles are given the highest priority.

Specifically, in July, Russian industry produced 65 9M723 missiles for the “Iskander-M,” exceeding the planned monthly target of 60 units. In addition, Russia produced 87 Kh-101 cruise missiles that month.

Production of RM-48U missiles for the S-400 stands at about 50 units per month. In total, Russia plans to produce more than 480 such missiles in 2026, which is more than double the figure planned for 2025.

Intelligence reports emphasize that Russia is maintaining high production rates and, in some cases, exceeding its planned targets.
