Rain and icy roads are forecast for Lviv region on March 31

UA NEWS 31 March 2026 10:25
Rain and icy roads are forecast for Lviv region on March 31

The end of March in the Lviv region was marked by cloudy and wet weather, accompanied by a significant drop in temperature.

The Regional Center for Hydrometeorology is warning residents of the region about difficult road conditions, particularly black ice, which was observed on certain sections of roads in the morning hours.

Cloudy weather with intermittent precipitation is expected throughout the day in Lviv region.

Forecasters predict rain, and wet snow is possible in mountainous areas due to the influx of cold air masses.

“It is cloudy in the Lviv region. Occasional rain, with wet snow in the mountains,” the meteorologists’ report states.

Temperatures in the region will range from +4° to +9° Celsius, which is significantly lower than in previous days.

In Lviv itself, daytime temperatures will reach +6° to +8° Celsius. The overcast sky will be accompanied by a northwesterly wind with speeds of 9–14 m/s.

Road conditions remain hazardous due to morning black ice. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution and maintain a safe following distance, as the combination of wet roads and low temperatures creates a risk of skidding.

On Tuesday, March 31, wet and unstable weather is expected in Ukraine—rain will fall across virtually the entire country.

After a cold winter, Ukrainians are looking forward to spring warmth, but April will bring not only sunshine but also weather “swings.”

Variable weather is expected in Ukraine this week.
