PlayCity has revoked the license of the lottery operator "Patriot"
The state agency PlayCity has revoked the license of the lottery operator "Patriot."
This was reported by the regulator’s press service.
It is noted that during the licensing of gambling market operators, law enforcement agencies are involved in inspections to analyze the companies’ activities and their connections.
In this case, the basis for the decision was information provided by the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR). As explained by the agency, the license was revoked due to the ultimate beneficial owner’s failure to meet legal requirements.
Patriot JSC has already stated that it will appeal the regulator’s decision to revoke the license in accordance with established procedure.
The company considers this decision unlawful and the allegations groundless. They are based on unreliable information that has nothing to do with the actual circumstances.
Patriot JSC operates in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, working openly and transparently. The company’s ownership structure is public, and the ultimate beneficial owner is a citizen of Ukraine.
The company expects an objective and fair review of the regulator’s decision in court.
Previously, PlayCity established a clear and lawful mechanism for inspecting gambling operators. The regulator will be able to conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, and players and bloggers now know what they will be monitored for. Over the past six months, these inspections have already resulted in fines totaling tens of millions of hryvnias.
The PlayCity State Agency blocked over 2,500 illegal online casino sites in 2025.
