SBU uncovers Russian agent network that planned terrorist attacks using teenagers

Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has neutralized a Russian agent network operating in the western regions of the country.
This was reported by the SBU.

As a result of special operations, three individuals were detained. They had organized caches containing components for improvised explosive devices.

The investigation established that a 20-year-old resident of Kharkiv, along with a 16-year-old schoolgirl and a 17-year-old young man from the Rivne region, carried out tasks for the aggressor state, involving minors in their plans.

All detainees came into contact with Russian special services through Telegram advertisements offering “easy earnings.” Under the guise of work, they created hiding places for explosive components intended for use by potential terrorists. The minor, in particular, received the coordinates of the caches from a handler in Russia and followed his instructions, while her accomplices were recruited through the same scheme.

The Security Service of Ukraine documented the actions of the detainees at the early stages of their subversive activity, eliminating the threats posed by the agent network in advance. Law enforcement officers continue to investigate the cases, examining recruitment details and possible connections with other criminal elements.
