Air defense forces shot down 75 of 84 Russian drones during the day
On May 20, Ukrainian forces shot down 75 enemy attack and decoy drones out of 84 launched.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., the Russian army deployed Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas UAVs, as well as Parodia decoys. The attack was repelled by mobile fire groups, aviation, anti-aircraft troops, and electronic warfare units; six strike drones were confirmed to have been hit, and the attack itself was still ongoing at the time of this report.
A large-scale forest fire broke out in the Chernihiv region following shelling by the Russian Federation.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army carried out 41 strikes on border areas of the Chernihiv region, primarily using FPV drones.
Additionally, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian FPV drone struck a utility vehicle carrying power company workers who were on their way to perform restoration work.
