Dog injures owner in the back after jumping on a left-behind gun
A 53-year-old man from Pennsylvania is in the hospital after his dog accidentally fired a gun, wounding him in the back. The incident occurred around 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday. Shillington police received a report of a shooting and found the victim on the floor upon arrival. The man reported that he had been cleaning his gun before the incident and left it on the bed before sitting down next to it.

According to reports, only the man and his son and two other dogs were in the room at the time of the shooting. The son was not in the room when the dog provoked the shot. After the ambulance arrived, the victim was transported to a local hospital, where he immediately underwent surgery and needs another one. The man's health condition is currently unknown, but police believe the shooting was accidental. The investigation is ongoing.
