Video: An ammunition depot exploded in the Belgorod Region of Russia
A massive explosion occurred at an ammunition depot in the Belgorod Region of the Russian Federation, followed by a prolonged chain reaction of detonations at the site.
Eyewitnesses among local residents began widely sharing footage online of a massive fire accompanied by loud sounds of shells exploding.
According to preliminary information from local sources, the incident was initially linked to yet another accidental detonation of a Russian aerial bomb, which has happened repeatedly in this region.
However, the situation later became clearer, and official clarifications emerged regarding the actual epicenter of the emergency. According to updated data: “The explosion in the Belgorod region is not related to a dropped aerial bomb—it occurred at an ammunition depot, and secondary detonations are currently ongoing at the site of the explosion.”
The scale of the destruction and the resulting fire was so significant that the consequences of the incident were visible far beyond the town itself.
Residents of the administrative center and surrounding villages began to notice a huge column of black smoke rising high into the sky.
