Russian Strike on a Ship Near Odesa: 10 People Killed
The search and rescue operation following the Russian missile strike on a civilian merchant ship near Odesa has been completed. Rescuers have recovered the bodies of all 10 victims.
According to Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, the victims include the pilot and crew members of the dry cargo ship Golden Leo, flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau, which Russia attacked on July 19.
Eight other crew members were evacuated to shore immediately after the strike.
Kiper emphasized that the ship was carrying corn, and its crew was performing exclusively civilian work and posed no threat whatsoever.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on a civilian vessel flying the flag of Guinea-Bissau. As a result of the attack, five crew members were killed, eight others were evacuated, and the fate of five remains unknown.
Throughout the day on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack from enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts at once, which have already been extinguished by Ukrainian rescue workers.
