During a meeting with the Servants of the People, Zelenskyy outlined possible timelines for the end of the active phase of the war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated during a meeting with members of parliament from the “Servant of the People” faction that, provided reliable security guarantees are in place, the possibility of ending the “hot phase” of the war by November is being considered. The head of state emphasized that the Defense Forces currently hold the upper hand on the front lines, an advantage that must be exploited, and that the main goal remains preventing Russia from using the lull to regroup and launch a new offensive. 

This was reported in a Telegram post by MP Olga Vasilevska-Smaglyuk.

According to the lawmaker, the Ukrainian side is currently awaiting the European Union’s nomination of a representative for the upcoming peace talks, and a delegation from the United States is expected to visit Ukraine in the near future. During the meeting, attention was also paid to the issue of European integration: Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Verkhovna Rada has fulfilled all the necessary requirements for opening negotiation clusters, which is expected to take place by summer. At the same time, the president was critical of the idea of possible associate membership in the EU without voting rights or trade and economic prospects, emphasizing that such a format would not give Ukrainian society a sense of justice.

The Kremlin officially commented on the new long-term plan for June 2026, which was previously approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. 

The aggressor state, the Russian Federation, will continue to strike Kyiv, which the Russians traditionally refer to as retaliatory strikes. 

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced its intention to launch “systemic strikes” on Kyiv, claiming that the targets would allegedly be facilities involved in the development, production, and use of Ukrainian drones.
