Zelenskyy arrived in Sweden for talks on the Gripen
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Sweden on a visit. Among the main topics of discussion are a new defense aid package for Ukraine and possible decisions regarding the transfer of Gripen fighter jets.
The head of state announced this on Facebook.
“Today I am on a working visit to Sweden. We are preparing a major defense package for Ukraine and a significant step regarding the Gripen fighter jets, which will certainly make our combat aviation more effective. Meetings with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson are scheduled for today, and representatives of the Swedish defense industry will also be present as part of the delegations,” Zelenskyy said.

We previously reported that Gripen fighters could significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
As a reminder, Spain will transfer 100 VAMTAC armored vehicles and a batch of artillery ammunition to Ukraine in 2026.
Latvia has decided to transfer additional CVR(T)-type armored combat vehicles to Ukraine.
