Zelenskyy congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his political party’s victory in the parliamentary elections. Welcoming the election results, the Ukrainian leader wished Armenia stability and continued development.

 

“I congratulate Armenia on holding democratic, free elections and Nikol Pashinyan on his victory. This is a victory for Armenia’s sovereignty, your independence, and your right to live as you choose. We wish you success,” Zelenskyy wrote.

He noted that Ukraine is ready to expand cooperation with Armenia.

The president also added that now is the time for the European Union to truly support Armenia and do everything necessary so that people feel that life is better thanks to relations with Europe. “This is a test for the European Union. It is important not to waste time or opportunities,” the head of state emphasized on social media.

As a reminder, six opposition candidates were detained in Armenia ahead of the elections

Armenia has appealed to the EU to send a rapid response team to counter Russian influence.

The Armenian opposition proposed creating a “Ministry of Sex” for women’s happiness.

According to the Foreign Intelligence Service, the launch of the TRIPP route between the U.S. and Armenia diminishes Russia’s role as the main player in the South Caucasus. The new corridor will connect Asia and Europe via Armenia and Azerbaijan without Moscow’s involvement.
