Meetings in Abu Dhabi: Kremlin denies discussing US Peace Plan

The Kremlin stated that Russia did not discuss the details of the US peace plan for the war in Ukraine, but confirmed a recent meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Vladimir Putin’s aide, Yuri Ushakov, noted that no official versions of the plan had been received, but Russia was positive about some aspects of the unofficial versions. He also stressed that the large number of proposals received is causing confusion.

“Russia has not yet officially received the US peace plan for Ukraine, but there is an unofficial document,” Ushakov said.
“Russia allegedly views some aspects of the US peace plan positively, but much of it requires discussion.”

According to Ushakov, the Kremlin had unofficially received several versions of the US peace plan, but due to their number, “it is even possible to get confused.”

He added that Russia has not yet held any discussions on the American plan for Ukraine and that Moscow has only been given the latest versions of Donald Trump’s US plan through unofficial channels.

Ushakov also noted that representatives of the Russian and Ukrainian special services meet periodically in the UAE, where they resolve detailed issues, including the exchange of prisoners.

The recent meeting in Abu Dhabi included talks between the new US representative and the Ukrainian delegation, although the peace plan was not the main topic of discussion.
