July 7 was declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv

On Tuesday, July 7, a Day of Mourning has been declared in Kyiv for those who died as a result of the largest-scale Russian attack on the capital. National flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the city, and the victims of the attack will be honored.

On this day, flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings in the city. It is also recommended that national flags be flown at half-mast on both public and private buildings in the capital.

All entertainment events are banned in Kyiv on July 7.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing in damaged buildings in the Podil and Darnytsia districts of the capital. Rescue teams are still searching for people trapped under the rubble there.

As of now, 11 people are known to have died in Kyiv, according to the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko.

As a reminder, seven people were killed as a result of a massive strike on Kyiv.

Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike.

We also recall that the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
