In Kyiv, the routes of the green metro line and two bus lines have been changed
In Kyiv, public transportation routes have been temporarily changed due to the aftermath of the Russian attack. Trains on the “green” metro line are running only on underground sections, while buses No. 22 and No. 91 are traveling across the Darnytsia Railway Bridge in both directions.
“At around 11:30 a.m., while the train was in motion, dust entered the passenger compartment through the ventilation system as a result of a shock wave. Neither the passengers nor the train operator were injured. The train’s windows and structure were not damaged,” according to a statement from the Kyiv City State Administration on Telegram, which also noted that the train was taken to the depot for further inspection.
Trains on the “green” metro line are running between the “Syrets”–“Vydubychi” and “Osokorky”–“Chervonyi Khutir” sections.
Buses No. 22 and No. 91 will run across the Darnytsia Railway Bridge in both directions.
As noted, specialists from the Kyivavtoshlyakhmist municipal enterprise are inspecting the condition of the structure following the attack.
As previously reported, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed two drone strikes near the support structure of the South Bridge in Kyiv; metro and surface public transit traffic across the bridge has currently been suspended.
At the time of the strike, Kyiv was under a “yellow” alert level; shortly thereafter, the air raid alert was lifted. Videos circulated on local social media showing the moment a Russian drone struck a support pillar or the railing of the South Bridge, as well as footage from a heavily smoke-filled subway car. There were no reports of casualties resulting from the strike.
