Jisoo to release single on September 4 ahead of first full-length solo album

BLACKPINK member Jisoo will release a new single on September 4. The track will serve as a pre-release for her first full-length solo album, Korea Herald reports, citing an industry source.

Pre-release ahead of the album

The title and genre of the upcoming song have not yet been disclosed. The release date of the album itself has also not been announced.

According to the publication's source, the new track will not feature a guest artist. The song will be included on the full-length record, which will also contain several other tracks.

Jisoo announced the upcoming release on social media. It will be her first new music since Eyes Closed (feat. Zayn), released in October.

Music video filmed in Bangkok

The music video for the single was filmed in Bangkok, in the northeastern part of the city. The exact filming location has not been disclosed.

The video was directed by Joseph Kahn, a Grammy Award winner who has worked with Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Eminem.

Jisoo is the last BLACKPINK member to prepare a full-length solo album after all four members of the group ended their cooperation with YG Entertainment in December 2023 for individual activities. The singer previously released the four-track mini-album Amortage in February 2025 and has largely focused on her acting career alongside music.
