Lisa, Shaboozey and Gunna to perform at MTV Video Music Awards — Rolling Stone
MTV has announced new performers who will appear at the 2026 Video Music Awards ceremony. Gunna, Lisa, Raye, Shaboozey, Gener8ion, Sienna Spiro and Yung Lean have been added to the lineup, Rolling Stone reports. The show will air on September 26 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS and MTV.
Scheduled performances
Lisa will perform her new single “SaWaDiKa,” introducing her upcoming EP Press Play, scheduled for release on October 23. Shaboozey will sing “Cowgirl,” while Gunna will join in performing their joint track “High Noon.”
Gener8ion and Yung Lean will perform “Storm II” live for the first time. The organizers have not yet disclosed which songs Raye and Sienna Spiro will perform. Raye is nominated for an award for the track “Where Is My Husband!”.

Other ceremony participants
Snoop Dogg will host the Video Music Awards, while Madonna will open the ceremony with her own performance. Nirvana will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Madonna has the most nominations at the 2026 VMAs — 11, including in the Artist of the Year and Video of the Year categories for “Confessions II — The Film.” A premium version of the broadcast will be available on Paramount+, and the show can also be watched on Paramount+ and MTV on September 27. MTV plans to announce new performers over the next week.
