It has been announced who will represent Ukraine at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant
Anna Nikonova, a 22-year-old from Kyiv, has won the title of “Miss Universe Ukraine 2026” and will represent the country at the Miss Universe international pageant, which will take place in November in Puerto Rico.
According to the pageant’s organizing committee, the jury selected the winner of the national competition unanimously. Anna Nikonova is an educational psychologist and a master’s graduate of the University of Cambridge. She researches the impact of war on children’s education.
Anna Filimonova, president of the “Miss Universe Ukraine” pageant, noted that participating in the international pageant is an opportunity to tell the world about Ukraine through culture, personal stories, and social initiatives.
Nikonova herself stated that she views her victory as a great responsibility and aims to show the world a strong, modern, and unbreakable Ukraine.
Anna was born in Kyiv into a large family; she has a twin sister and eight brothers and sisters. She is fluent in English and has studied vocal music and rhythmic gymnastics.
