"Weighed and Happy" Returns to the Small Screen; Premiere Date Announced
The creators of the reality show have revealed the cast of Season 11 for the first time. The new season premieres on October 4.
“The process of recharging with new energy, endurance, and spectacular transformations has begun! There’s just a little while left,” reads a post on the show’s Instagram account.
One of the new season’s contestants was introduced as a woman who spent many years living for others. Now her main goal is to learn to live for herself and finally pay more attention to her own desires and needs.
“I want to feel like a woman—delicate and tender,” she admitted.
It’s reported that the show’s rules have undergone some changes in the 11th season. Initially, 18 contestants will compete for a spot in the weight-loss camp, but after the first challenge, only 14 will make it onto the coaches’ teams.
“Four contestants will end up in the gray zone—wearing gray T-shirts. Each week, they’ll have a chance to earn a spot on one of the teams by posting the best results. At the same time, one of the main roster contestants could end up in their place. Now, every week is a battle not only for results but also for a spot on their own team,” the announcement states.
In the 11th season, Marina Borzhemskaya and Oleksiy Novikov will serve as the show’s coaches. Borzhemskaya is an experienced coach on the show who has been with the project since the sixth season, while Novikov is a Ukrainian strongman and holder of the title “Strongest Man on the Planet,” who will continue working on the project after the 10th season.
The contestants will also be assisted by host Daniel Salem, nutritionist Svitlana Fus, and psychologist Dmytro Karpachov.
