Most 2025 Tokens Trading Below Initial Price Levels
Crypto researcher Edgy stated that approximately 85% of projects launched in 2025 are trading below their starting levels after listing. Even deals backed by top venture capital funds no longer guarantee demand or profitability.
According to Galaxy Research, the peak of crypto venture funding occurred in Q2 2022, when nearly $17 billion was raised and over 80 new funds were launched. Currently, funds’ ROI is decreasing, the number of new funds is at a five-year low, and capital raised last quarter was just 12% of 2022 levels.
Edgy believes the traditional model of “raising a round—launching a token—selling to retail investors” is losing relevance. Winners will be projects with real products, revenue, and smaller insider allocations.
