Korea Exchange and New York Stock Exchange agree on cooperation
Korea Exchange (KRX) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) signed a memorandum of understanding in New York to deepen cooperation in market operations and the development of exchange infrastructure.
Agreement between the exchanges
The document was signed by KRX Chairman and CEO Jeong Eun-bo and NYSE President Lynn Martin. As The Korea Herald reports, the exchanges will share experience on initiatives to extend trading hours and shorten the settlement cycle to T+1.
Under the agreements, KRX and NYSE may also establish a joint advisory body to further develop cooperation.

Meeting with investors
Before signing the memorandum, Jeong Eun-bo presented South Korea's capital market reforms to global investors. Together with BofA Securities, KRX held a Global Roadshow at the Bank of America Tower in New York, attended by about 30 major institutional investors.
According to the exchange, its head told event participants about recent improvements to the Korean capital market system and measures to attract a broader range of investors.
