A Bitcoin mining center in Inner Mongolia, China, unexpectedly went offline — and the reason wasn’t technical failure or power loss. Instead, it was a group of stray cats drawn to the warmth of the mining rigs.

The cats curled up on the GPUs, blocking ventilation and causing the cooling systems to shut down, forcing the facility to halt operations. Photos from the scene show several cats comfortably resting atop the glowing mining machines.

Crypto enthusiasts quickly turned the incident viral, joking that the cats “performed the cutest 51% attack ever” and reminding miners that even digital gold can’t resist nature’s warmth.
