Exchange rates on June 1: How much are the dollar, euro, and zloty worth?
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rates for Monday, June 1.
The U.S. dollar remained at its previous level, while the euro once again showed a tendency to appreciate.
At the start of summer, seasonal factors and general inflation indicators will have a significant impact on the country’s currency market.
According to official data from the regulator, the dollar exchange rate is set at 44.26 UAH, which is exactly the same as the previous banking day. Meanwhile, the euro rose by 12 kopecks, reaching a new level of 51.55 UAH.
In the cash market at currency exchange offices and some commercial banks, the value of the European currency is already approaching the psychological threshold of 52 hryvnia.
At the start of summer, two main groups of economic factors will influence the overall situation and dynamics of the Ukrainian currency market.
A positive factor is the seasonal increase in the supply of berries, vegetables, and other agricultural products from the new harvest.
This traditionally helps effectively curb domestic inflation and significantly reduces pressure on overall consumer prices in the country.
