PrivatBank has introduced new limits on foreign exchange transactions
PrivatBank has updated the limits on foreign currency purchases and foreign exchange transactions for customers in accordance with a decision by the National Bank of Ukraine. The new rules took effect on August 11, 2026, and expand the options available to individuals.
PrivatBank has significantly increased the limits on foreign exchange transactions for individuals. From now on, customers can purchase non-cash foreign currency online in amounts of up to 200,000 hryvnias per month, as well as take advantage of expanded limits for international payments and cash withdrawals. The changes are already available in the Privat24 app.
Transaction limits have been increased to 200,000 hryvnias per month (or per day, depending on the category) for the following services:
- Non-cash currency exchange in Privat24 — the limit is now 200,000 UAH per month (previously 50,000 UAH/month). It is updated on the first day of each month and does not affect the limit for payments made with a hryvnia card abroad.
- Payments with a hryvnia card abroad for goods, work, and services (instead of 100,000 UAH per month). This limit also includes SWIFT transfers.
- Withdrawals of foreign currency from foreign currency accounts in Ukraine and abroad (previously 100,000 UAH per day).
- SWIFT transfers from foreign currency accounts to purchase goods and services abroad for personal use.
The limit has been increased to 500,000 hryvnias per month for:
- Payment of rent and accommodation services abroad, provided the transfer is made from a foreign currency account (includes both SWIFT transfers and card payments).
As a reminder, PrivatBank will launch a paid subscription service for customers in September.
