Standard Chartered lowers Bitcoin price forecast for 2025
The bank Standard Chartered has reduced its target price forecast for Bitcoin (BTC) in 2025 from $200,000 to $100,000. The revision is attributed to a slowdown in institutional demand: corporate purchases have nearly stopped, and inflows into spot ETFs are growing slower than expected. In Q4 2025, inflows amounted to only 50,000 BTC — the lowest since the ETF launch.

The updated forecasts foresee gradual price increases: $150,000 in 2026, $225,000 in 2027, and $300,000 by 2028. The previously anticipated $500,000 target is now expected no earlier than 2030.
