Kazakhstan seizes over $1 million worth of mining equipment illegally destined for Russia
Customs authorities at Kazakhstan’s Ayat checkpoint seized a shipment of mining equipment weighing eight tons and valued at more than $1 million that was being illegally exported to Russia. According to officials, the exporter did not possess the required license for such exports.

Following an appeal by the prosecutor’s office, the Kostanay Regional Court ruled that the confiscated equipment should be transferred to state ownership. The decision formally confirmed the seizure and the state’s rights to the assets.
