In Lviv, vascular surgeons removed a giant pseudoaneurysm from a 54-year-old woman’s arm that pulsed in time with her heartbeat.

The formation developed near a hemodialysis fistula and gradually grew over the years. This summer, it began to grow rapidly and cause severe pain.

The surgery lasted about two hours. Doctors drained approximately 300 ml of blood from the pseudoaneurysm and eliminated the risk of massive bleeding should it rupture.

Currently, the patient is feeling well and has full use of her arm.

As a reminder, Ukraine will establish its first Center for Robotic Surgery.

In Lviv, doctors performed a rare combined surgical procedure. During a cesarean section, a 26-year-old woman simultaneously underwent removal of a recurrent ventral hernia, which could have caused serious complications after childbirth.
