Companies plan to build 13 data centers in Italy for more than €1 billion — Channel NewsAsia
Core Stack, the digital infrastructure business of Lazzari Group, and Green Arrow Capital plan to invest more than €1 billion in the construction of 13 mid-sized data centers in Italy over the next four years. This is stated in a Reuters report published by Channel NewsAsia. The stated investment amount is equivalent to approximately $1.12 billion.
Renewable energy and Italian suppliers
The data centers are planned to be powered by renewable energy generated directly at the facilities' sites. The development of the data centers will also rely on a fully Italian supply chain, the companies said.

First facilities in 2028
Core Stack and Green Arrow Capital expect to obtain the necessary permits for the first two sites in the provinces of Cremona and Verona by the end of 2027. These data centers are scheduled to begin operating in the first quarter of 2028.
After implementing more advanced projects in northern and northeastern Italy, the companies intend to focus on the country's central and southern regions.
