Micron appoints two top executives to new positions
American memory chip manufacturer Micron Technology announced leadership changes. Manish Bhatia was appointed president and chief operating officer, while Scott DeBoer was named president and chief technology and products officer. The company’s CEO, Sanjay Mehrotra, remains in his position.
Changes in Micron’s leadership
As CNBC Top News reports, Bhatia has worked at Micron since 2017, while DeBoer has been with the company since 1995. At the same time, Sumit Sadana is moving from the role of executive vice president and chief business officer to the new position of senior adviser to the CEO.
KeyBanc analysts believe the new management structure should simplify coordination of customer relationships, operations and manufacturing. CNBC noted that the resilience of the supply-and-demand cycle in the memory chip market will remain the decisive factor for Micron’s stock performance.

Proposed Meta settlement
Separately, CNBC reported that Meta Platforms announced a proposed settlement in social media addiction cases with attorneys general from 52 U.S. states and territories. Following the announcement, the company’s shares maintained a slight gain.
Meta also announced new mechanisms to protect teenagers and enhanced parental controls. Piper Sandler analysts estimated that these changes would affect approximately 0.5% of Meta’s global users. In their view, the impact on revenue could be smaller, as users under the age of 18 are less effectively monetized.
CNBC also expected the release of earnings reports from Nvidia, CrowdStrike and Salesforce. The publication identified revenue outperformance and the company’s outlook as key for Nvidia, new annual recurring revenue as key for CrowdStrike, and the performance of the Agentforce product as key for Salesforce.
