Starting May 12, the "eCherga" system will implement automatic insurance verification

Starting May 12, the "eCherga" system will introduce automatic verification of "Green Card" insurance certificates for commercial carriers. This new feature applies to bus and truck drivers, for whom having valid insurance is a mandatory requirement for traveling abroad.

This was announced by Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.

From now on, insurance status will be checked automatically during the online queue booking process. If, at the time of receiving the “Entry” status, the policy is found to be invalid or missing, the system will automatically cancel the queue entry. If the certificate has not yet taken effect at the time of registration, the entry will remain active until the border is crossed.

Users will be able to view the validity period of their “Green Card” in their personal account, which will help avoid delays at border crossing points. The new feature was implemented in collaboration with the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine. According to Kuleba, this will help drivers verify the validity of their documents in advance and save time at the border.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine is preparing a pilot implementation of the “eCherga” electronic system for passenger cars crossing the state border.

Previously, seven carriers were disconnected from the “Shlyakh” system for systematic violations of state border crossing rules.
