Trump to Launch Tokenized Maldives Resort With Saudi Partner

The Trump Organization is partnering with Saudi developer Dar Global to build an ultra-luxury resort in the Maldives and tokenize the entire development. The property will feature 80 beachfront and overwater villas, with construction expected to finish by late 2028. Through tokenization, investors will be able to purchase digital shares of the project using blockchain-based assets.

This approach transforms traditional real-estate ownership into digital tokens that can be traded similarly to financial assets, expanding access to a high-end project for a wider range of investors. According to the companies, it will be the world’s first hotel development fully designed with tokenization integrated from the very start.

The resort adds to a growing portfolio of joint ventures between Dar Global and the Trump Organization across the Gulf, including developments in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai, and Oman. The announcement comes as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visits Washington, highlighting deepening economic ties between the US and Gulf nations.
