Gamers turning away from video games towards porn and online casinos
Interest in video games is sharply declining worldwide: American gamers are spending nearly 10% less on PC and console games, while about 15% of Canadian players have completely lost interest in the industry. Experts explain this by noting that young people increasingly prefer to spend money not on $70 games, but on donations to OnlyFans models, online gambling, and watching short TikTok videos.

Specialists point out that this trend is not limited to North America but is global. Instead of traditional entertainment, gamers are showing more interest in fast and impulsive online activities that offer instant gratification. This poses challenges for game developers in attracting and retaining their audiences.
Given these changes, the gaming industry will need to explore new strategies to regain youth attention, possibly through new formats or enhanced user engagement.
