Sergey Portnov left his position in Parimatch's operations department and founded the investment platform SP Ventures
Sergey Portnov, former head of the iGaming brand Parimatch, has stepped down from the company’s day-to-day operations and announced the launch of the investment and advisory platform SP Ventures.
In the new structure, Portnov has assumed the role of founder and chairman. The platform will combine investments with strategic consulting and support for entrepreneurs from experienced business founders.
SP Ventures plans to invest in projects in the fields of technology, education, and other sectors, with its first investment being Trinity Private School in Cyprus. Meanwhile, following Portnov’s departure from Parimatch’s leadership, the company is finalizing agreements with its operational partners and moving on to the next stage of its development.
Portnov has been involved in the development of the Parimatch brand for over ten years. He was born and raised in Kyiv, received his education in the United Kingdom, and joined Parimatch in the early 2010s, where he focused on marketing and digital development. From 2015 to 2021, he served as CEO, after which he joined the supervisory board.
