China Pavilion draws attention at Dubai travel fair — ECNS
The China Pavilion became one of the prominent venues at the Arabian Travel Market 2026 tourism exhibition in Dubai, UAE. The display, under the slogan “Nihao! China,” combined elements of classical Chinese aesthetics with modern presentations, drawing the attention of travelers and tourism industry representatives from Arab countries.
Interest in travel routes across China
Visitors to the pavilion were interested in customized itineraries to Chinese cities. More than 60 tourism companies from China took part in business meetings during the four-day event.

According to official data cited by ECNS, the number of foreign visitors to China increased by 20.4% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. In 2025, the number of arrivals from six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council exceeded 150,000, up 100.78% from the previous year.
Figures from Saudi Arabia and the UAE
The number of tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia rose by 110%, while arrivals from the United Arab Emirates increased by 113%. China’s Consul General in Dubai, Ou Boqian, noted that the country has significant tourism resources and continues to simplify travel conditions. She invited guests from Arab countries to visit the technology hub of Shenzhen, as well as the historical and cultural cities of Xi’an and Chengdu.
