Zelenskyy will attend a summit on the security of the Strait of Hormuz
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will join a meeting of world leaders dedicated to ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the head of state, the leaders will coordinate efforts to ensure the safety of shipping in this strategically important region.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the world already recognizes the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, drawing parallels with the situation in the Black Sea in 2022–2023, when Russia attempted to block Ukrainian ports.
He stressed that maritime security is a global issue and requires joint action by the international community.
According to Bloomberg, the meeting will take place in Paris with the participation of leading European leaders, some of whom will join online. Discussions are expected on the format of a potential security mission in the region, particularly the role of the United States.
Zelenskyy announced news regarding missiles for the Patriot system following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General.
Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Bulgarian partners for this decision and noted that it will help Ukraine strengthen its air defense system ahead of the upcoming heating season.
