French tennis player Arthur Fils defeated Italy's Flavio Cobolli 6:3, 6:4 in the Cincinnati Open semifinal and advanced to the tournament final. The match in Mason, Ohio, lasted 67 minutes.

Cobolli, seeded seventh, took a 2:1 lead early in the first set after a break. However, Fils immediately broke back and leveled the score at 2:2. At 3:3, the Frenchman moved ahead and secured the decisive break in the eighth game after errors by the Italian from the baseline.

Cobolli held serve to love at 4:3 in the Frenchman's favor, but Fils moved ahead again at 5:4 and ultimately closed out the match with a victory.
