Atlético beat Real Sociedad in Spain with three late goals
Atlético Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 3:0 in San Sebastián, Spain, scoring all three goals after the 84th minute. Diego Simeone’s team ended a run of two defeats — against Athletic in La Liga and Liverpool in the Champions League, Korea Herald reports.
Triple substitution in the 60th minute
South Korean footballer Lee Kang-in started on the right side of the attack, Alex Baena played on the opposite flank, and Ademola Lookman led the forward line. In the fifth minute, Lee moved into the centre and struck with his left foot, while in the 24th he delivered a cross towards Morten Hjulmand.
These episodes did not bring Atlético a goal. Around the 60th minute, Simeone made a triple substitution: Lee Kang-in, Baena and Marcos Llorente were replaced by Johnny Cardoso, Jonathan David and Koke. In the previous league match against Athletic, Lee also left the pitch at approximately the same time.

Goals after the 84th minute
The scoring was opened in the 84th minute when Alejandro Grimaldo converted a penalty awarded for a handball by Jobe Ochenga. Five minutes later, David received the ball in the centre, beat a defender and scored with his left foot. Giuliano Simeone made the final score in the fifth minute of stoppage time after a swift run.
After the match, Diego Simeone said the substitutions helped his team gain control in midfield. According to him, Lookman and Lee started because they had more experience playing together. The coach also praised David’s performance and his composure in finishing the attack. After five La Liga rounds, Lee Kang-in has one goal and one assist.
