Forbes has announced the world's most valuable soccer club
Forbes has publisheda ranking of the world’s most valuable soccer clubs. Real Madrid took first place for the fifth consecutive year. The English Premier League accounts for the largest number of clubs in the top 30 of the ranking.
Real Madrid is valued at $9.5 billion. In second place is Spain’s Barcelona ($7.5 billion), and rounding out the top three is England’s Manchester United ($7.2 billion).
The English Premier League (EPL) has the most representatives in the top 30—11. It is followed by the North American soccer league MLS with seven teams and Italy’s Serie A with four.
Last season, Real Madrid went trophy-less for the first time in five years.
