Marta Kostyuk and her partner advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, paired with Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse, successfully advanced to the next round of the 2026 Wimbledon tournament. The Ukrainian-Romanian duo secured a victory and earned a spot in the round of 16 of the doubles competition at the third Grand Slam tournament of the season.
In the second round of the doubles draw, Kostyuk and Ruse defeated Indonesian players Aldila Sutjiadi and Janis Tjen 6-4, 7-6 (10-8), according to Ukrinform.
Marta and Elena-Gabriela will attempt to reach their fifth joint Grand Slam quarterfinal. They have each achieved this twice at the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
As a reminder, Marta Kostyuk advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon after defeating Emma Navarro.
