Marta Kostyuk advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon after defeating Emma Navarro
Ukraine's No. 2 player, Marta Kostyuk, successfully advanced to the third round of Wimbledon, defeating American Emma Navarro. With this victory, the Ukrainian tennis player secured a spot in the round of 16 of the prestigious tournament, which has a prize fund of £64.2 million.
In the third-round match (round of 16), Marta (WTA No. 13) defeated the world’s No. 26 player, Emma Navarro of the U.S., in three sets—6-2, 4–6, 6–1, according to Ukrinform.
The players spent 1 hour and 44 minutes on the court.
In the round of 16, Kostyuk will face the winner of the match between Daria Snigur (Ukraine, No. 77) and Ashlyn Krueger (USA, No. 102).
Wimbledon 2026 will continue in London (United Kingdom) until July 12.
